Independent learning provides a real opportunity for a partnership between the student, teaching staff and parents/carers. Completing independent learning work allows students to reflect on and reinforce their work in class, extend their subject knowledge and understanding and stimulates their subject curiosity.
To support independent learning outside of the classroom, teachers will assign regular independent learning tasks that students should complete. These are short and focused interventions to support all students' achievement and attainment.
