Newcomer Students

Newcomer students’ level in English is assessed on admission to the school.

If it is deemed necessary, newcomers join small groups for English language classes with our dedicated EAL staff so that they will be supported in accessing the full school curriculum.

Some students will be supported in gaining qualifications in their own language.

If appropriate, students will be entered for IGCSE English as a Second Language or English as an Additional Language.
