I have over twenty-five years’ experience in post-primary education in England
Question 2: What positions or roles have you had over these years
I have taught in seven different schools covering a wide variety of types. State schools and private, mixed schools and single sex, selective grammar schools and high schools. My most recent posts have been

Question 3: What are you most looking forward to in your role in Breda Academy?
I am relishing the opportunity to lead a new school for South Belfast, working with a committed and hard working staff who willing to embrace new opportunities and new techniques. This will ensure that the students of Breda Academy achieve exceptionally well and so can access a broad range of futures either in employment or further and higher education.
Question 4: Possibly an informal question e.g. How do you like to spend your spare time?
Family always keeps my busy and grounded outside work, but I also read whenever I can. One of my favourite authors is George RR Martin of Game of Thrones fame who said “A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, a non-reader lives but one.” Escaping into a good book, either on my kindle or in traditional printed versions is a great way to relax at the end of a long day.
